Owen's ONE!

I'm not quite sure how it happened but my baby boy turned ONE today! We had two parties for him this weekend which meant double the FUN! Thanks everyone for helping us celebrate and for all the nice gifts.

We got this bike seat from Mike's work last year right after Owen was born. Turns out he loves a bike ride! Can't wait for more nice weather so we can all go for bike rides together.

We decided that Owen was looking a little scraggly. So we took him in yesterday to get his very first Big Boy Haircut. He did well thanks to Elmo, bubbles and snacks!

May Day?

It sure didn't feel like the first day of May today! We took Owen out and about after lunch and had to bundle him up because it was only 36 degrees out. We are sure looking forward to some nice weather - and hopefully soon :-)

CranioCaps and Head Molds

After 1 consult with the Craniofacial Nurse Practitioner, 1 CT Scan, 1 consult with the Craniofacial Surgeon, 2 scans for helmet molds, 9 physical therapy appointments, 11 helmet re-adjustment appointments, 2 actual helmets, 17 weeks wearing a helmet and many many stickers...
WE ARE HELMET FREE!!

We had our very last appointment today at Gillette for Owen CranioCap! The Orthotist, Dwight, thinks that Owen's head looks great (and I do too!). He wants him out of the cap so his head can do some shaping on its own before the bones start to fuse together. Way to go! Owen you have been such a trooper through this whole process.
