October 2nd - Ethan - Cute and Silly
Every time we leave the gym Ethan goes over to the bike rack and stick his head through and smiles so I finally decided to snap a quick pic :-)
Not sure how he accomplished this one but a few times he has gotten up from a nap with his arm all twisted in his sleeve - he's a character - thats for sure!
October 4th - Twin Cities Marathon!
A while back Mike decided he was going to run the Twin Cities Marathon. He has done many runs in the past but never a Marathon. Training was a big commitment and he ended up loosing both of his big toe nails... He finished in great time and we are very proud of him!
October 7th - Lots of Leaves!
At first Ethan was a little unsure about playing in the leaves but after a while he was loving it!

October 9th - More Leaves
The leaves are so much fun! Both the boys had fun sliding and jumping into the leaves!
The Eden Prairie Fire and Police Station had a HUGE open house. They had a helicopter, fire trucks, police cars, the SWAT team truck, police boats and construction vehicles out for the kids to climb in! They also had lots of activities and prizes for the kids! The boys had fun climbing in the trucks!
October 11th - Nice Weather and a Trip to the Park
Gotta love shorts, t-shirts and a sunny trip to the park in October!
October 12th - My Dishes Helper
Such a hard decision - should I wash my book or my cup?
October 13th - Rakes!
The boys had fun collecting leaves on their rakes and throwing them in the air. Owen also let us burry him in the leaves. Ethan wanted nothing to do with getting buried!
October 15th, 16th, 17th - MEA
What a fun cousin filled weekend! On Thursday Owen's buddy Eli was at our house for the day. Owen was so excited when Eli showed up to play. Later that morning Cousins Will and Max showed up with Granny Nanny. Danna, Cole, Nora and Auntie Sandi followed shortly after that! Owen could barely handle that his buddy Eli and all of his cousins were at his house!! They were able to play outside a little and played a lot of legos!
The big kids got to have a slumber party in our basement - popcorn and a movie were a must! It was Owen's first real slumber party!
On Friday Granny took the kids to a movie, to Pump It Up and then out to dinner at Muddy Waters with Grandpa Dave!
Saturday started off with a trip to Perkins and then a trip to the Afton Apple Orchard! These kids are so spoiled by Granny and Papa!
Per Owen's request they also went to Target to look at the Halloween decorations!
October 23rd - Eden Lake Carnival
It was our first school carnival. Auntie Laura came to watch Ethan while Mike, Owen and I headed to the Eden Lake Carnival. Owen had so much fun! We saw his new friend Juliette on the shuttle bus and they were inseparable the rest of the night.

October 24th - Spooky Saturday
The Eden Prairie Community had a fun little Halloween event. Owen and I went and he got to play a bunch of fun games and got a lot of cool treats! Best of all he got to wear his Astronaut costume!
October 26th - A Rare Sight
Mike happened to catch the boys sitting by each other nicely during their show! This is a very rare sight at our house!!
October 27th - Pumpkin Patch
We meet up with one of Owen's Preschool Friends since we haven't seen them much now that the boys are in Kindergarten and don't go to the same school. Owen, Colin and Colin's sister Maggie had fun walking in the pumpkin patch and jumping in the giant pumpkin!
October 29th - X-rays at the Dentist and a Jack-O-Lantern
We got up early and headed to the dentist so we could make it back in time for the bus. Owen did a great job with his cleaning and even got his first x-rays. That evening we carved our Jack-O-Lantern.
I got to help out at Owen's Fall Festival Party. It was so much fun to see him in action in his class and to meet some of the kids he talks about. I was in charge of the snack and we made Oreo cookie spiders - the kids loved the treat. Since Owen's Party was right before lunch he invited me to stay for lunch. He was very proud to '"teach me" how to go through the lunch line.
October 31st - Happy Halloween!!
We had a fun and busy halloween. We made some special halloween cookies for our neighborhood friends. Our Monkey and Astronaut had a lot of fun trick-or-treating. We even made it to Mrs. Fogarty's' house. Owen ended up with 105 pieces of candy!
