CranioCaps and Head Molds

After 1 consult with the Craniofacial Nurse Practitioner, 1 CT Scan, 1 consult with the Craniofacial Surgeon, 2 scans for helmet molds, 9 physical therapy appointments, 11 helmet re-adjustment appointments, 2 actual helmets, 17 weeks wearing a helmet and many many stickers...
WE ARE HELMET FREE!!

We had our very last appointment today at Gillette for Owen CranioCap! The Orthotist, Dwight, thinks that Owen's head looks great (and I do too!). He wants him out of the cap so his head can do some shaping on its own before the bones start to fuse together. Way to go! Owen you have been such a trooper through this whole process.

11 Months Old

Owen is 11 months old today! I can't believe he will be turning one in just a month. That is coming way to fast! I guess its true what they say - time flies when your having fun :-)

The Bandstand

Owen absolutely loves playing with this toy these days! He looks around the room for it and when he spots it he reaches for it until you bring it over for him to play with. He likes to stand by it but since he can't stand alone I found a container that he can sit on which makes him the perfect height.

A Busy Week!

The past five days have flown by! I am behind in my blogging so here is a recap of the past week.

Last Wednesday Owen and I headed to the park to enjoy the nice weather. It was Owen's first time going to the park this spring and as I expected he loved the swing. Every time the swing came back towards me he would giggle - it was really cute. I think we will be spending a lot of time at the park this summer.

On Thursday Daddy had a night meeting so Owen and I went to Hastings to hang out with Granny Nanny, Auntie Amber and Cute Baby Max. We even got to see Grandpa Dave for a little bit after he got home from work.

Mike went to the Twins Home Opener on Friday. Owen and I gave him a ride downtown. Before we dropped him off Owen and Daddy got to have a picture in their Twins Gear. GO TWINS! While Daddy was at the game we headed to another park to check out some more swings.

On Saturday Daddy ran in the Goldy's 10 Mile run. We watched everyone cross the finish line on the big screen at TCF stadium and shortly after the run Owen fell asleep in his stroller. He even slept through us having drinks at Buffalo Wild Wings.
