We had a doctors appointment today to have some tests done on Baby Boy Elhard. We had an AFI (amniotic fluid index), which is an ultrasound to measure the amniotic fluid to be sure that there is still enough surrounding the baby. That went well there is plenty of fluid! Then we had a NST (non-stress test) to be sure baby isn't stressed out - which he is not. BUT during our ultrasound we had quite the surprise...he is now head up or always has been?!?! Our doctor has been saying for the last several weeks that he was head down but the ultrasound doesn't lie. So either he was head down and flipped back around or never was head down.
So - we have a breech baby on our hands which means a C-section tomorrow morning :-( Kind of disappointing but it is what needs to be done. Before the C-Section the doctor is going to try to turn him but it is not likely that it will be successful because I am so far along and there isn't much room left. We will keep you all posted.
Same thing happened to me Kristi. I know its a bummer, but finally a baby! Can't wait to meet him.
