Parks, Parties, Fire Trucks and Busses - OH MY!!

We have had a busy month.  I haven't quite been able to keep up with everything that we have had going on so here is a re-cap of some things that Owen has gotten to enjoy over the past few weeks.

We have gone to several parks that we don't get to visit much.

A night with the neighbors - National Night Out!  We had fun at a BBQ with our neighbors :-)  Unfortunately the storm came and cut the party short.  

Owen and Marie

Owen's Preschool hosted a summer event in the beginning of August.  Owen got to sit on a fire truck and climb in some school busses.  He loved the school busses which is good because he will be riding one to preschool in the fall.  

12 Weeks

Ethan is 12 weeks old already!  He is such a happy and good little baby.  He is sleeping longer at night but still only takes cat naps during the day.  I go back to work in 3 weeks so we are going to try to enjoy every minute of the rest of my time off.

Owen's Blue Bike

We got Owen a balance bike for his birthday.  A balance bike is a bike without peddles.  It is supposed to help kids learn to ride a two wheel bike without training wheels.  At first Owen didn't want anything to do with the bike.  Then all of a sudden one day he wanted to ride it.  The other day we were heading to the park and he wanted to ride his bike there so of course I let him.  After riding/walking down the block he got on the stroller for a ride but when we left the park he wanted to try out the bike again.  Practice makes perfect big guy!!

Watermelon

Owen doesn't like to eat watermelon but he sure had a lot of fun helping me cut the watermelon!!

2 Months Old

Ethan had his 2 month doctor appointment today.  The doctor confirmed it... he is a big guy!!  He weighed 14 lbs. 12 oz. and was 24 inches long.  He got several shots so I am keeping my fingers crossed that we have a good night.  It's so hard to believe that he is already 2 months old.
