 So it has become a tradition that the "big kids" go to happy hour while the little kids stay at the cabin with Granny and Grandpa Dave.  Here are some pics of the big kids having a fun time - Thanks Granny and Grandpa!!

Dinner at Doolittles

It's true I turned 30 last Friday!!  There was much celebrating that happened starting with a trip to the cabin the weekend before my birthday.  We weren't able to have Mulliner Family Weekend this summer so we took advantage of this nice September weekend and headed up to the lake.  On Saturday night we ate at Ernie's and went back to the cabin for cake and presents.  I got some clothes, a caribou gift card, a year's worth of massages and an actual money tree!! 

The celebration continued after we got home.  We went out to dinner at Old Chicago with Laura.  She got me a fancy purse and brought us some yummy chocolate raspberry desserts.  

On my actual birthday we went to Doolittles with Granny Nanny and Grandpa Dave.  Thanks so much everyone for celebrating with me - I had so much fun turning 30!!!

Lake Minnetonka Regional Park

Owen and I along with a few of my co-workers and their kids went to the Lake Minnetonka Regional Park to check out the swimming beach.  This is a really cool park!!  It has a chlorinated sandy bottom swimming pond.  The water was shallow and warm.  All of the kids loved it!!  We will definitely come back next summer.

Owen likes playing in his sand box - filling and dumping his trucks is one of his favorite parts.  He also likes to dig and hide toys in the sand.  I think every little boy should have a sandbox!! 

A New Toy

Owen found himself a new toy the other day.  One of his new favorite things to do is spray the hose.  He sprayed himself in the face one time so far and I don't think he'll do it again :-) 

Swimming with Gavin

We haven't had many pictures to share these days because Owen has been a little stinker every time we try and take a picture of him.  When we pull out our camera or phone to take his picture he reaches towards the camera immediately and all he want to do is grab it and look at old pictures...if we don't let him he has a HUGE tantrum!!!  Needless to say its been easier to leave the cameras out of sight...

We did manage to get some pretty good candid shots of Owen and his buddy Gavin swimming the other evening in our back yard.  Of course the boys had no interest in the pool until we got them out of their suits and put their regular clothes and shoes on... after that the pool was their favorite part - who doesn't love swimming clothes and tennis shoes :-)
