A Weekend Away - Without the Kids!!

This weekend we ventured up to Brainerd and had a lot of fun with some good friends. Thanks to the grandparents we got to make it a kid free weekend which meant bar hopping along the way up, sleeping in and a bar tour of Brainerd and Nisswa on Saturday afternoon.

Got the weekend started by stopping at Cabin Fever and The Fort along the way.

After going to the cabin to turn the heat on we headed back to Ernie's for a greenie, cake vodka martinis and of course a beer.

Before heading out on Saturday afternoon we all needed to check our email and obviously play a little Words with Friends.

After browsing the shops that were open we made our first stop - Rafferty's!

Then to The Pickle Factory - We couldn't resist, we had to eat some pickles!

The last stop of the night - good ole Zorbaz's! More drinks and some food. You can tell that we're getting old because once the DJ started playing we were out of there - back to the cabin for more drinks, games and a movie!

Sunday started off with with a nice sunrise across the lake, Mike snapped the picture, I was still asleep. We went back to Ernie's for lunch while we waited for our laundry to finish up at the cabin. It was pretty sweet watching four small planes take off on the ice.

It was Daddy and Owen weekend this past weekend (I had to work). Daddy thought it would be fun to take Owen sledding in our back yard - by the looks of it Owen had a ton of fun! Can't wait to see it in person next time.

20 Months - Yikes!!

Its hard to believe that our baby is 20 months old today. Can't believe that he is almost 2 - Yikes!

Who Knew...

Who knew a little boy could have so much fun with the cover of a plastic container. He thought it was so funny to smash the cover on his face and tongue.

Christmas #4

We had our 4th and final Christmas Celebration yesterday with the Elhard Family. Unfortunately Madi was sick and had to stay home and Sean was working in North Dakota.
